Support our Mission Project for FEBRUARY
In February we will continue collecting items for "Health Kits" to be assembled and given to Lutheran World Relief to help people who have little access to health supplies. There will be a box in the narthex and we ask all members of our congregation to contribute something from the following list of items:
- Over-the-Counter (non-prescribed)
Medications as follows: (Be sure items are not outdated!)
- Vitamins for children (avoid gummi bear type soft vitamins) and adults (particularly women)
- Pain relievers for children
- Cough and cold medications (solid, chewable or lozenges, avoid liquids)
- Chewable anti-diarrhea medications (avoid liquids)
- Skin ointments: Zinc Oxide, Triple Antibiotic, Anti-itch Medicated Cream, Antibacterial Cream
- 1 Hand Towel, dark color preferred
- 1 Wash Cloth, dark color preferred 1 Bath Size Soap, in original wrapping
- 1 Adult Toothbrush
- 1 5-7 oz. tube of squeezable toothpaste (with at least a 12 month shelf life)
- 1 wide-tooth comb (remove packaging)
- 1 metal nail file or nail clipper with file attached
- Band-Aids - 1/2" to 3/4" - secured together with a rubber band
